This is a recipe of my daughter.
Ingrediences
- 8-10 carrots
- 1 cup of sweet pickled celery
- 2 small leeks cut in peaces
- vinegar
- sunflower oil
- salt
- ground black pepper
- 0.5 cup mayonnaise
- natural mineral water
- few drops of lemon juice
Directions
- Grate carrots and sprinkle with few drops of lemon juice (carrot will keep fresh color)
- Drain pickled celery
- Season mayonnaise with salt, black pepper, vinegar and few tbsp of natural mineral water
- Mix all ingredients together
- Let the mixture sit in a fridge for few hours
- If the salad will loose too much water, drain it and season again if it’s needed
- Serve with fresh baguette or as a sidedish to wiener schnitzel
Hint
You can replace mayonnaise with yogurt, but don’t use natural mineral water in that case. Also you can use fresh grated apples instead of celery.
